WHAT THE PLAYERS SAY

JULIO ARCA / ARGENTINA

When I first heard about Latin American Footballers’ Alliance, I wanted to get involved straightaway. It’s completely unique in terms of its Latin American focus. In the past it has been difficult for South American players to get used to the culture and the way things are done here. For Christian and the LAFA team to be helping players and their families settle in by providing reliable and trustworthy assistance is something I wish that I had. It would have made life and concentrating on football a lot easier, definitely when I first moved from Argentina.

GUS POYET / URUGUAY

“LAFA would have been great for me, very useful. To have someone helping me and my family in a new country with a different language, habits and culture would have made my adaptation to English football more comfortable and for sure in a shorter period of time. When everything at home is settled, performances on the pitch are definitely better and there’s nothing to worry about apart from playing football. I would strongly recommend LAFA to every South American or Spanish speaking player coming to England.”
